Trails in Newberry Hill Heritage Park

Trails in Newberry Hill Heritage Park are just a short drive from Bremerton and Silverdale. This park has 13 miles of trails, and you can get to them from several different points. Parking is available at the Klahowya Secondary School, and there are multiple ways to get into the park. The northwest quadrant is accessible from the school’s parking lot, and the southeast quadrant is accessible from the park gate.

The Dickerson Trail starts on tree farm logging roads, crosses Dickerson Creek, and winds up hill through a young forest. At the top of the hill, you can see Zach’s Lookout. Trails in Silverdale

Silverdale residents and visitors alike will find a great selection of hiking trails in Silverberry Hill Heritage Park. The park offers 13 miles of trails with multiple access points. The northwest quadrant is easily accessible via the Klahowya Secondary School parking lot and the southeast portion of the park is accessible through the park’s gate across the street.

Trails in this park are designed for different skill levels and interests. Beginners and experienced hikers can enjoy the trails. The park’s trails pass through logging roads and offer scenic views of Mount Rainer, Hood Canal, and Seattle. The park also features an island park situated on the inland waterway known as Saratoga Passage. Parking is available in the park or adjacent neighborhoods, and visitors must present their Discover Pass to park within the park.

The Basic Arboretum Map is available online, in the park’s visitor center, and on cellphone. The park’s 22.5-mile trail features picnic tables, benches, and working farms. You can also grab a snack or rest at one of the rest areas. See next.
